New Year, New You

Brian’s Blog January 4th 2016.

Hey everybody. I hope that you are having a wonderful Monday. Also I would like to wish you a happy new year. I hope that you had a safe and productive New Year’s Eve. I want us to set goals to have a strong relationship with God in this new year. Make a big goal and then set small easy to obtain goals to help you get there. Make sure to celebrate every little victory on the way to eep you on track.
This weeks verse comes from Isaiah. It will be talking about how God has selected us personally as his servant to do his will. It will also talk about the fact that he will always be there for us during this time, even though sometimes it May not feel like it.

“I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, ‘You are my servant’; I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭41:9-10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

It starts out saying I took you from the ends of the earth think about that for a moment. No matter where you are on this planet you are a child of God. That is so cool! This means we are all connected as God’s children. Next it says you are my servant I have chosen you and have not rejected you think about that. You have been chosen by God. He will never reject you but will always be there for you. Next he asked us not to fear for he will always be with us whatever he asked us not to be dismayed for he is our God he will strengthen us and help us. Final statement really spoke to me. As it says I will uphold you with my righteous hand. This means that he is righteous and good, all that we wish to be. As a child of God we have been given his qualities. Even though sometimes we make mistakes and we sin there is so much good in us that has given been given to us by our father in heaven. And times of trouble in times of turmoil we should seek God for as he says he will always be with us and will always protect us.
