High school church camp
If you are in high school, this weekend is our fall retreat. Check out the link below for more information.
11 Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons. 12 The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them.
13 “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. 14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. 16 He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.
17 “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ 20 So he got up and went to his father.
“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
21 “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’
22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.
25 “Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. 27 ‘Your brother has come,’ he replied, ‘and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.’
28 “The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. 29 But he answered his father, ‘Look! All these years I’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. 30 But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!’
31 “‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. 32 But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”
Luke 15:11-32
Today’s daily encouraging song:
Sidewalk Prophets – Prodigal
Today’s challenge for the believer:
Today’s challenge is to think of someone who needs God’s love today. Delete all of their life circumstances from your head, and love them unconditionally. No matter what they have done to you or others forget about that and show them the love of God. For yourself, run to God with all that you have. No matter what you have done your life God loves you anyway. Trust that.

Zach Williams Shares The Story Behind “Chain Breaker”
Song lyrics
If you’ve been walking the same old road for miles and miles
If you’ve been hearing the same old voice tell the same old lies
If you’re trying to feel the same old holes inside
There’s a better life
There’s a better life
If you’ve got pain
He’s a pain taker
If you feel lost
He’s a way maker
If you need freedom or saving
He’s a prison-shaking Savior
If you’ve got chains
He’s a chain breaker
We’ve all search for the light of day in the dead of night
We’ve all found ourselves worn out from the same old fight

Grayson Reed – fight for you
Today’s challenge for the believer:
Today’s challenge is about how you interact with other people. We are given a choice daily on how we want to interact with others. This can be someone close to you like this bass or maybe a close friend. They can also be someone you coming contact with who you are not super Close with. We have the ability to build someone up and it still confidence in them, or tear them down and leave them into darkness. This is especially true with the people you were close with. Usually when you get really close is that but you know what pushes their buttons and what builds them up. Choose to be an encouragement to others and to encourage others
This challenge is based on today’s song of the day. If you didn’t notice the writers of the song are a husband and wife.

Today’s challenge is to focus on the voice of truth in your life. There will always be voices of negativity and doubt in our lives, and it is during that time we need to turn to God. We need to listen to the holy spirit and stay positive.
The song for today is from “Casting Crowns”. They will be performing tonight at GCU. If you would like tickets check out the link below.

Today’s daily encouraging bible verse:
Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.

Jeremy Camp – Same Power (Lyric Video)
Today’s challenge for the believer:
Today’s challenge is to remember that God has great power and can do anything if you Believe in him. Sometimes we try and put God in a box and think that he can only accomplish a certain amount of things. Be reminded that you serve the God of the Bible. The God who Led the Israelites out of Egypt, parted the Red Sea, Gave triumph to David over Goliath, sent his son to die for us, and so much more. If he did these big things for his people, why would he not do them for you. When you doubt God, you limit his ability to work in your life. Sometimes it is scary to ask for the big things because if you don’t get them God’s not listening. Be bold with your prayer life today. Trust that God hears what you have

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness..
Ephesians 4:22-24

Josh Wilson – That Was Then, This Is Now
Today’s challenge for the believer:
Today’s challenge is for those who have difficulty allowing themselves to be forgiven. We have been blessed with a wonderful gift of grace and forgiveness. Some of you may have a very difficult past. Maybe you did some things that you’re not proud of, or you had some sort of dark past. today I want you to be reminded that you have a God who has completely forgiven you for everything you’ve ever done the moment that you put your faith in him. The moment that you acknowledge Jesus Christ as your Savior you are completely forgiven and everything that happened in your past life is now exactly that, your past life. Allow God to take that weight off your shoulders band Find peace in today
