Then while doing that dream, be a representation of what it means to be a question. If you want to be a lawyer you can be a lawyer and still be a good question. Today’s video from Brian to you

Today’s daily encouraging bible verse:

Romans 12:2

Today’s daily encouraging song:

Need to Breathe – Difference Maker

Today’s challenge for the believer:

Today’s challenge is called the white board prayer challenge. Today’s challenge is going to take some courage, so if you are a little afraid to do it, seek strength from God. Trust that he wants to use you here on earth to bring people to the kingdom. Trust that he’s got your back and that he will always be there with you when you are talking and praying with others.

Here’s the challenge it’s simple. Get yourself a small whiteboard or writing surface. Then write this on that white board. “ need prayer, come share”. It doesn’t have to be this exact statement, but something like this would do. Under that statement put #whiteboardprayer. This will allow us to keep track of all the great people sharing their faith and being open to pray for someone they don’t even know

Then bring your whiteboard with you wherever you go. Take it to the coffee shop, to have dinner, wherever you go outside of your home bring your little white board with you. Someone may never come up to you and ask you for prayer, but for the one person that does, this will be an amazing experience.

So I’ll be bold, be brave, and become a difference maker in this world. Comment below and share your experience with this challenge 🙂

Today’s daily encouragement (8-27-16) -finding a way to serve

Today’s daily encouraging bible verse:

“And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me”

Matthew 25:40-41

Today’s daily encouraging song:

Matthew West – Do Something.

Today’s challenge for the believer:

Today’s challenge is to make a difference today. Be the change you want to see in the world. There are many ways to live this out. If you examples are listed below however you don’t have to do one on this list. If you think of something that would be good and personal for you, do that. This challenge is based off of the song. And the song it says we got to do something. The idea of being instead of complaining about how broke in the world is, take the time today to fix that one little piece at a time. If everyone does this today, then we make him like a beautiful puzzle that has been completed. In the beginning it was just a bunch of odd pieces that didn’t make much sense. However once everyone played their part and the role, we made a beautiful piece of art together.

Find a charity in town to serve. There are so many. Do you one that fits something you’re passionate about. For example if you’re passionate about animals do some sort of service with an animal shelter, if you are passionate about how most people, find a homeless ministry

Pay for someone’s meal today or possibly their coffee. Don’t stop there. When I ask you why you have done this, which most of the time they do, share with them that God put it on your heart to do that

Find a couple let you know have kids and rarely get time out. Offer to babysit for them so that they have an opportunity to go out on a date as husband and wife

Give financially to an institution that you believe in

Be a sponsor for a child in need.

Today’s daily encouragement (8-26-16) – prayer for the sick and needy

Today’s daily encouraging bible verse:

“He answered, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind and, Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Luke 10:27

Today’s daily encouraging song:

Lincoln Brewster – Oxygen

Today’s challenge for the believer:

Today’s challenge is to Love the Lord your God with all your heart your soul and your mind. Put him first in your life today and every day.

The second part of the challenge is to pray for those who are sick and in need. If you don’t know anyone who specifically is sick or needed, see if you can’t seek someone out. Just look at your Facebook feed or find on one of your social media feeds someone in need.

As someone who personally needed much prayer and had it answered I can tell you that this works. Also I can tell you that the people in the position of need and sickness need your prayers. There is truly power in numbers. I am alive today because of prayer and because God had a plan for me. Help someone else to enter into this type of relationship with God by praying for a miracle.

For those who don’t know my story I had a 10% chance of living. It is an absolute miracle that I am here today. That miracle came through the prayer of friends and family and the faith that I have in God.

Today’s challenge for the believer:

I challenge you, to Think about the people in your life who have always been there for you. The people who have never let you down, and have made you feel like you are never alone. Take the time to tell them how important they are to you. This could be 1 person or 5 people or 10 people whatever’s on your heart.

Today’s daily encouragement (8-23-16) – God the Father

Video Message to you

Today’s daily encouraging bible verse:

“But now, O LORD, You are our Father, We are the clay, and You our potter; And all of us are the work of Your hand”

Isaiah 64:8

Today’s daily encouraging song:

Chris Tomlin- good good father

Today’s challenge for the believer:

Today’s challenge has a few parts to it.

1)Connect with God today on a personal level. Take the time to see him as your heavenly father.

2) Give thanks to our fathers / The father figures in our life

For those of us who have a good earthly father, today I want us to take the time to thank them for what they do. To be a good father and parent, can be a challenging thing. It takes work. But for those fathers who take time to do that, they deserve our thanks more than just once a year on Father’s Day. Remind them today just how special they are.

If you don’t have a father who is present, think of a person in your life who has been like a father figure to you. This could be a family member, family friend, or maybe just a mentor in your life. Take the time to let them know how important they are to you. Let them know the impact they have had on your life

Finally,It can be easy when dealing with such a mighty and powerful God, to forget the fact that even this powerful amazing God, wants to have a truthful and honest relationship with each of us. This is meant to be a personal and connected relationship. Take to time to think God for all that he has given you. More importantly take the time to share with God how appreciative you are of love he has for you.

God bless!

Today’s daily encouragement (8-22-16) – Looking in the Mirror

Today’s daily encouraging bible verse:

“You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.”

Matthew 7:5

Today’s daily encouraging song:

Jon Foreman- mirror is harder to hold

Today’s challenge for the believer:

Today’s challenge is to stare your sins straight in the face. Today’s focus is on you. Sometimes these challenges are about going out and sharing the gospel or encouraging others, but today’s is all about taking the time to look at your own faith.

So often as Christians we go out and judge others for all of the bad things that they are doing, but we forget to look into our own lives and fix the things that we are doing wrong. Life and seeing we’re not meant to be a comparison thing. It’s not about all I’m so much better than this person because I don’t do what they do. It’s about what you do wrong and right. Jesus talked about this in the Bible verse that we used for today. He asked us to take the log out of our own eye before pointing out the speck in someone else’s.

Today’s challenges simple, do not judge anyone else, but instead look in the mirror and be honest to your own sin. Work on yourself today.

Acknowledge the sins that you have committed, bring them to God. Ask for his forgiveness. Begin to work towards eliminating that sin in your life. Again it’s not about focusing on other peoples sin but on the sin in our own lives. We are all sinners. As Paul said, “ we’re all sinners and I’m the worst of them.”. This was Paul talking. Possibly one of the greatest Christians of all time. If he thought that he was not good enough, then we should be quick to remember where we stand.

We are so lucky that we serve a God who loves us so much that he allows us to be forgiven no matter what. Take advantage of that. Come to God with your sin and give it to him. He made the Ultimate sacrifice so that you could do that.

God bless

Today’s daily encouragement (8-21-16)

Today’s daily encouraging bible verse:

“If we walk in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”

1 John 1:7

Notes on the verse

With this verse the apostle John is reminding us where it is Christians must walk. As we journey through life, we must always remember where true fellowship is found: in the light and truth of Jesus Christ.

Today’s daily encouraging song:

The Stand – Hillsong United

As the song says:

“So I’ll walk upon salvation,

Your Spirit alive in me.

This life to declare Your promise,

My soul now to stand.”

Today’s challenge for the believer

Today’s challenge is to take some time alone with God today and offer your heart completely to him. Give him the control of your life. God sent his son Jesus to die on the cross so that you can live. Be silenced by that and let it honestly sink in. Let his spirit being united in you. Let it be known that you are a follower of Christ. That you are different than a follower of the world
