Today’s challenge is to take A few moments today to pray the prayer below. This prayer is based on the lyrics of the song of the day and the Lords prayer. Really let the word sink in and present them to God honestly:
Heavenly Father. Let Your kingdom come in my world And in my life. Give me the food I need to live through today. And forgive me as I forgive the people that wrong me. Lead me far from temptation Deliver me from the evil one
Remind me not to worry or freak out. You know what I need! Your love is strong
I pray The Kingdom of the Heaven would continue advancing. Those here on earth you do not know you yet, would come to know Who you are and the sacrifice that you made with your son Jesus
Invade my heart. You are strong. You love me, Your love is strong
Our God in heaven. Hallowed be thy name above all names. Your kingdom come. Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven. Give us, today, our daily bread. Forgive us weary sinners. Keep us far from our vices and Deliver us from these prisons.
“And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:7

In Christ Alone
Today’s challenge for the believer:
Today’s challenge is to remember that Christ is in control. Find your hope in him today. Don’t find your hope in others or things of this world. Find your hope in Christ alone and you will never be broken
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
1 Peter 4:10
Today’s daily encouraging song:
Sidewalk Profits – Save My Life
Today’s challenge for the believer:
Today’s challenge is to go out of your way to serve others. take the time to actually ask someone how they are doing. If for some reason you believe their answer is false, dig into that a little bit. Don’t be afraid to ask someone what’s really going on in their life.
Many times in life we put up this wall, so that people can’t see what’s actually going on in our life. Be aware of that wall and don’t be afraid to help them break it down. Of course be sensitive to it, but also be brave. If you are a person with one of those walls up, take that wall down today. Allow someone to chip it that well and allow yourself to be loved.
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
Matthew 6:25-27

Today’s daily encouraging bible verse:
““But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—”
Ephesians 2:4-5 ESV
Today’s daily encouraging song:
We are Messengers – Everything Comes Alive
Today’s challenge for the believer:
Sometimes God tries to work in our life, but we push him away. There are many broken parts of our life, but God restores everything. He brings us joy. He makes us alive, as the song says.
Today’s challenges for you to share today the blessings that God has given to you. Put out a post showing all that you are grateful for. Now here is the important part, and don’t miss this. Make sure to give glory to God for all that you have. So make a list of all those great things that you are blessed with, and then give God credit for those wonderful things.
This is a simple and wonderful way that we can share the faith that we have in Christ.
“Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.
1 Corinthians 12:7-11

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you”
James 1:5
Today’s daily encouraging song:
MercyMe- Dear Younger Me
Today’s challenge for the believer:
Today’s challenge is to find yourself a mentor in the faith. This person should be someone who is older than you and spiritually mature. You should meet with this person at least once a month and soak in all that you can from them.
You should actually ask that person if they would take the time to mentor you. What I mean by that, is you may have someone in your life and you already sort of consider a mentor, but have not officially come up to them and asked them if they would mentor you personally.
If you are an older spiritually mature person, typically above the age of 40, I would challenge you to find someone to mentor. This can be a family member or just someone that you know could use some guidance.
We are called to become wiser each day and to pass on the knowledge and wisdom God gives us to others.
This is a really exciting challenge and I hope that each of you take the time to do this. If you believe you would be a good mentor but don’t know who to mentor call me or message me below. Same goes if you think you could use a mentor, but don’t know who to ask.
Don’t let any excuses stop you from taking the time to mentor and be mentored.
“He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm”
Matthew 8:26
Today’s daily encouraging song:
In the Eye of the Storm – Ryan Stevenson
Today’s challenge for the believer:
Today’s challenge is for you to share a time in your life when things were difficult, but God came through for you. Maybe even in the moment it seemed like he wasn’t there, and that you were a little lost, but in the long run he realized he was always by your side. Sometimes our stories, can be some of the most powerful ways that we teach others about who Jesus is. Don’t be afraid to share yours today. Also when you share, I would love it if you would tag me in your post. It would bring me great joy to hear your story about how God worked in your life.
A few thoughts to leave you with:
I was speaking with someone the other day about sales, and it made me think a little bit about evangelization. I know that missing the little weird, but hopefully you will get the connection here in a second. Someone had asked me a question about the best way to sell without being too annoying with your follow up. I then asked them a question back in return. I asked “ well, first answer me this, if it was possible, wouldn’t you prefer someone coming to you without you having to approach them first. Their answer was obvious. They said of course they would rather the person comes of them, because then they would feel less pressure, and they would know the person has an interest.
Again this may seem like a bit of an odd analogy but in that moment it made me think about when we seek out others to tell them about Jesus versus when they come to ask us about Jesus. No I’m not saying you shouldn’t go out and share who Jesus is with people without them asking, but I am trying to make a Point that hopefully you can connect with.
One of the best ways to get people to come to you and ask you about who Jesus is By honestly focusing on mirroring Jesus in your daily life. If you are doing this more often than not, people will notice a difference in you. They won’t quite be able to pinpoint it right away, but they should be able to tell a difference between you and most of the people who they encounter. It is a spiritual view versus a worldly view.
Then it is your job to tell them about Jesus when they ask you about why you are different than most people they meet. If you forget you do this part, and you take the credit for being, you miss out on a great opportunity.
Another amazing way to Jesus with others, is just by telling them your story. Being willing to share the dirty gritty details about how God pulled you out of whatever dark situation you were in.
When doing my sermons, I often tell my students, I believe everyone has this space in their heart that belongs to God. Those who don’t know God also have this, but don’t realize that it was meant to be filled by him. Because of this they try their best to fill that hole with outside things. It can be anything, drugs, alcohol, sex etc.
Sometimes it can be very difficult to put yourself out there in such a big way, but I promise you you will not be alone. God will be with you every step. I always say, let go, and let God. Sometimes when we are in the storm, this can be easier said than done. Especially when we are afraid.
Even the disciples who were literally walking alongside Jesus were sometimes afraid. The verse above is a prime example of that. However let us learn from the disciples mistake. Let us remember God is always with us no matter what. Even when we are scared may seem like there’s no end in sight, God is always there
Thank you for your support of my blog. I pray that you have a strong spirit filled day. Remember don’t be afraid to share your story. You never know who you might impact.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.”
Today’s challenge is simple, do your best to live out God’s grace in your life. Make it the focus of each day to not take advantage of God’s grace, and share it with others. Below is a list of 5 ways that you can do that.
Jesus’s Grace and Truth
Love and listen to people first
Offer grace and forgiveness even when it’s difficult
Find more ways to serve others.
Give generously.
Find God’s purpose for your life, and begin to live out that purpose
Definition of God’s Grace – How do theologians define it?
“Grace may be defined as the unmerited or undeserved favor of God to those who are under condemnation.”
“but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8 ESV
Today’s daily encouraging song:
You’re never too far gone – Jordan Feliz
Today’s challenge
Today, I hope that through this specific verse and song you be reminded that we are never too far gone. That no matter what mistakes we make, God will still love us regardless. We are all sinners separated from God by our sin.
However, he never stopped loving us, not even for a second. Even crazier and cooler than that, Jesus went to the cross for us specifically.
We’re talking about You personally. For example me Brian Sweeney. Sometimes I will fill my own name in for a general part of a Bible verses. I thought this really helped me to relate to the fact that Jesus did all that he did for me.
Ex.
“but God shows his love for Brian in that while Brian was still a sinner, Christ died for Brian.”
Romans 5:8 ESV
So you’re Challenge for today is very simple, substitute your name into the verse as I have. Been really reflect on what that means. Prayed to God substituting your name, and whatever comes upon your heart share that with the Lord. Allow him to be your father today. Allow yourself to be vulnerable. And most of all allow yourself to be forgiven
Some people are so hard on themselves when it comes to their sin. Especially those Who don’t know God, and believe that their life is so terrible that no one could see you. That is just not the case. As a second challenge if you happen to know anyone who might be going through a really hard time like this, remind them that they are not alone. Share with them the peace and love that you have with Christ
